Where Birds, Culture,
and Community

Take Flight.

Alas Latinas connects communities with birds, biodiversity, and conservation through bilingual environmental education, guided bird walks, nature programs, workshops, and community science.

Our programs celebrate Latinx and immigrant cultures, weaving in stories, traditions, and perspectives that reflect participants' heritage and foster a sense of belonging in nature.

Our welcoming outdoor experiences are designed for families, youth, schools, Spanish-speaking and bilingual communities, immigrants, community organizations, and anyone interested in local ecosystems, bird migration, native plants, wildlife habitat, climate resilience, and environmental stewardship.

We make nature education more accessible, inclusive, and culturally connected so more people can explore, learn, and become stewards of the natural world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to connect communities with birds, biodiversity, and conservation through bilingual environmental education, nature walks, workshops, and community science programs.

We make nature education more accessible and culturally connected so families, youth, Spanish-speaking communities, schools, and the general public can learn, explore, and become active stewards of the natural world.

We invite families, individuals, and community members to volunteer or collaborate with us to shape our programs, fostering ownership and building deeper community connections.
